The Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer
receives a number of inquiries, ranging from simple yes/no questions
to complex requests for facts, figures, statistics, and updates on
continuing investigations. The "Public Information Officer" (P.I.O.)
wears several hats to represent the Sheriff's Office to the media
and the public.
In addition to the inquiries, the P.I.O. conducts interviews for the
media and prepares press releases for the Sheriff's Office. The
P.I.O. is also active in representing the Sheriff's Office at
numerous meetings, functions, and events.
The reason for this commitment is fundamental: citizens should know
more about the mission and activities of their Sheriff's Office. To
that end, we are always receptive to questions, comments, and
suggestions |
